CSE Genesis win two awards at the RFUANZ Gala Dinner

CSE Genesis attended Comms Connect Auckland where they were able to see the latest and greatest in radio and wireless communications – from narrow-band radio to PTT over cellular, from professional LTE to satellite communications. Comms Connect and RFUANZ (Radio Frequency Users Association of New Zealand) organise the conference, exhibition and Gala Dinner. The Go Wireless RFUANZ Gala Dinner was held at St Matthews In The City in Auckland on Wednesday, 2 May 2018.

At the Gala Dinner, the RFUANZ present 6 awards to individuals or businesses who have demonstrated superior commitment, outstanding service, consistency and initiative in the radio communications industry. CSE Genesis were presented with two awards on the night.

The first award CSE Genesis were presented with was the Project Excellence award. This award recognises excellence in engineering and project management and acknowledges innovative projects. It highlights the importance of professional engineering and project management in achieving high performance in projects. CSE Genesis won this award for their Surf Lifesaving Northern Region Digital Migration project.

The SLSNR delivers critical lifesaving communications services across the Northern Region, encompassing 17 surf lifesaving clubs covering 24 beaches. SLSNR owns one of the largest private radio networks in New Zealand and use radio to communicate across clubs, land to water, between clubs, with emergency services and with the regions central surfcom facility at the Marine Rescue Centre in Auckland’s Mechanics Bay. With challenges like beaches located in steep, forested, bush-clad or isolated locations, the SLSNR sought a network that was robust, simple, user-friendly, flexible and scalable to ensure the system was future proof.

CSE Genesis won the SLSNR project and implemented a comprehensive network replacement solution using Motorola’s MOTOTRBO DMR technology. This solution provided SLSNR with increased capacity and spectrum efficiency, integrated data and enhanced voice communications along with additional safety features, seamless roaming, remote monitoring and reporting tools plus enhanced GPS locational awareness capabilities.

The project was delivered within the scheduled time and CSE Genesis were involved in all phases of the project, from the design and build, through to the implementation and continue to provide ongoing management and system support.

The second award was presented to our Accounts Manager, Vicki who was awarded Employee of the Year. Vicki is considered an integral part of the CSE Genesis team and is the hub of team culture. Having started with a sales support background, Vicki was keen and eager to learn the products and solutions on offer and has since taken on a more full time direct role within the sales team.

The passion and initiative Vicki has shown has seen her also work across the service department to assist with coordinating jobs and projects. Vicki is always working to enhance the company culture and consistently works to achieve exceptional results going above and beyond the call of duty whilst keeping the business’s reputation in mind.

We are proud to have CSE Genesis as part of our team, we are also glad to see their efforts are being recognised by radio industry in New Zealand.
